Lil’ Valentine’s/Birthday card thing for my ma. Workin on my gouache game, thinkin about Tapestry by Carole King.

Just a little Beck I did in an hour or so.

Man, I’m in an odd spot. I like to use subdued colors BUT sometimes really bright colors. I want to get better with colored pencils AND gouache AND digital at the same time AND get better at combining them. I don’t really know which direction to go.

Just gotta draw more.

Wip of a poster for Minnesota Hockey. It’s for the childrens! I think I found a way to make the inkling work for me. We’ll see.

First thing I did in Illustrated Notebook.

It’s fun! We get to deface books! This is the cinema of Dirk Bogarde, a British actor I’ve never head of.

The assignment is “afterlife” so I’m inventing a sort of cult pantheon and imagining what their idea of the afterlife would be like. These are the gods, Father, Uncle, Captain and Presidente.

I’ve been doing it all with colored pencil on acrylic, which is workin out pretty well.

This experimental comics assignment went from “Yay! I get to cut up that awful Prisoner graphic novel!” to “Yay! I get to make a better comics extension of The Prisoner!”

That thing he does during Life During Wartime is just so strange in the shoulders.

A buncha David Byrne in Stop Making Sense because he’s the best at moving. More to come.

For this one, imported to illustrator, bumped up the stoke size, pasted into photoshop as a path.

I imported this one into Illustrator then copied and pasted it into Photoshop. The lines look way more ballpointy I think.

Brian “B-Money” Ledbetter

One thing about the Inkling is just using it is motivation enough to draw more. So that’s nice. This one came out pretty nice digitally, too.

The perspective tangent thing was accidental, but is pretty cool.

I did that creepy thing where I draw one of my friends again.

It’s the talented and lovely Sherri! She’s awesome. And look, I’m in her portfolio! (I’m the first one because I’m the best.)
